Dr. Devon Walters, DVM

Devon-Walters

Dr. Devon Walters grew up in Chicago, upstate New York, and Upper Arlington, Ohio. She developed a passion for animals and their well-being at a young age, and spent her teenage years shadowing and volunteering at local shelters and vet hospitals. She also spent seven years volunteering at the Ohio Wildlife Center with a particular affinity for owls, hawks, and eagles.

She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors in Biology, and then earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Since graduation, Dr. Walters has been practicing small animal medicine in the Columbus area. She has a passion for feline medicine, helping animals in their older age maintain comfort and mobility, and using fear-free techniques to keep pets stress-free during their visit. She loves working with families to create a strong bond with their pets, and mentoring new students pursuing careers in the veterinary field.

Dr. Walters and her husband Todd share their home with four wonderful cats – Tyr, Bella, Daenerys, and Merlin. Her newest addition Merlin was a kitten she got quickly attached to after delivering him via C-section. They also have a 75-gallon freshwater aquarium which makes the perfect cat TV! In her free time, Dr. Walters enjoys stand-up comedy events, traveling and exploring the beauty of nature, and going to the theater to catch up with the latest movies.
